Coffitivity (https://coffitivity.com/) is good for café-style noise. I've also found Brain.fm + noise-cancelling headphones to be super helpful in getting back on track and focusing on a task.

A few I've enjoyed using:

  • OmmWriter, which is a focused writing app that also includes custom background soundtracks (nature, light music, rain, etc.) to help you focus while writing. It also has different keyboard sounds you can choose while typing to add some more mechanical or tapping sounds even if on a laptop/tablet keyboard.
  • Irv Teibel's Environments, which you can buy as an album, listen to on streaming services, or get in the Environments app. They're all nature environmental recordings including wind, birds, rain, and more, with a bit of analogue sound.
  • mynoise.net is a fun way to essentially build the sound environment you want.

+1 for OmmWriter. Forgot about that one!

If ambient music does it for you, Brian Eno - Ambient 1: Music for Airports is good

I've been using Brain.fm for about a year now and it's fantastic. It actually helps me focus and keep my energy up (as well as blocking out loud co-workers.) There are also relaxing sounds for a quick break. I use it religiously and I highly recommend it.

I love Soft Murmur. It lets you create a custom mix from relaxing sounds like rain, coffee shops, fire, and the sea.

I've been using Noizio since a couple of years and I love it.

For what you ask, there's the "Paris Café" sound that does the job.
The other sounds are great too.

I haven't been using these in a while, but I used Noisli for a few years and liked it.
