Do you pay the discounted rate each month, or pay upfront for a year?
Jira does offer annual pricing, though only if you pay for users in bundles. The first tier offers 10 users for $100/year, equivalent of 2 months free compared to their standard $10/month for 10 users plan. Plans with larger numbers of team members may or may not offer a savings, though. For example, Jira costs $7,000 per year for 51-100 users—which works out to over $11/month per user for 51 users, but just $5.83/month per user if your team has 100 users.
Thus, if your team’s at the lower end of a new tier, it may be cheaper to use a monthly Jira plan instead of getting an annual subscription.
Annual plans are billed upfront, paid once per year.
