We are currently paying $75k / year for all the features (including Personas & Protocols) and 250k MTUs. They want to change our plan and charge us $150k / year so we are going to replace them.
For 800,000 MTU for connections only, around $54k.
This is with two free months for dragging our feet at the end of their financial year Oct 31st.

We pay $54k annually for the business plan version of Segment. We dragged our feet toward the end of the financial year and they gave us 2 months free.
We're on a startup plan so we are only paying $99/mo for Segment and have locked that in for a year. It will go up as we add more customers.
We pay $1,000 a month for 200,000 MTU-s. The initial quote was $1,500.
We pay $199 for Segment base price and then another $200 for our additional users that it tracks.
We are currently paying a legacy plan at $79 / month. Segment has been very good at honoring that pricing.
However, we want to start using Personas and their Data warehouse addon and at that point, we couldn't keep our legacy pricing (we understand) but for the same usage, our cost would have gone to nearly $140k / year. We decided to buy Hull.io (1k/month) instead of personas and Fivetran (26k / years) to get all of our data in Bigquery.

We pay $99 monthly for our Segment Legacy plan. Included in the base rate are 5M API calls monthly and 500K Warehouse rows.
Segment is such a pain. Expensive and unpredictable pricing. If it's hooked up to a source that can unpredictability create lots of users, you could end up paying a ton. We pay about $800 per month for 125,000 tracked users.

Our team of 200 people pays $1000/month for Segment. We initially got a quote for $1800, and we told them we couldn't justify any more than $1000. They came back and accepted it.

This enable us to pay only on tracked users and doesn't count anonymous events in the pricing, so we pay only $99 for a Team plan (instead of $120).
Also, we have 5 millions API calls included instead of 10k.
Over last the couple years we went from:
- $120 monthly for 10k MTU
- to $8400/year 150k MTUs on a High-Volume plan
- to $45k/year for 4 million MTU on a Business account
Our team of 4 pays $0 for segment. We use the product every day, and are following the original quote.
Last month we paid $840 for ~75k MTUs. It goes up every month and they're trying to lock us into an annual plan right now. Our plan is to just try to decrease the MTUs going forward.
We have been using Segment for a year, and it's been a good service. For an annual contract, we pay $0.005 per MTU; we use 500k MTUs. They are offering a 29% discount if we go up to 1MM and sign for an additional two years. But we are trying to reduce our usage on them. We'll probably keep them, but still deciding if it's worth it or if we can just put everything on Heap or Google Analytics.

We are on the start up plan. We are thinking about using their personas product. Does anyone have experience with what they charge for that while you are on the start up plan and what they charge when we are off the start up plan?
