My team uses Asana for to dos & Outlook for calendar, and I need a way to document notes from meetings for specific tasks or the opposite: if a task is being blocked by some issue, I'd like to be able to have the task with context in the meeting notes. So I need tasks <> notes <> meetings tied together. Hugo tries to do this, but I simply don't enjoy using it, simply put. Is there anything else out there that can solve this issue? Or have I not given Hugo a proper look? I know this is specific, so any suggestions/advice is much appreciated
A quick Google search suggested Fellow.app — gives me Lattice UX vibes with a lighter touch. Seems nice, I may actually check it out myself. Not sure if this covers your requirements but thought I'd throw it out there!
Indeed there is one you are missing, and it is excellent. I have tried both Roam and Notion and gave up on them because of their response time and the navigation time involved in making a quick, simple, note.
Workflowy.com, however loads very fast, navigation is much less time consuming, works cross platform, and it offers collaboration on segments you specify. While it does not offer a "knowledge graph" it , has a really flexible structure, fast search, offers tags, mirrors of notes, fast working editable URL links/pointers out to other apps and data, and has many other decorations and excrescences that people now seem to feel necessary in their note taking apps.
On top of providing a really flexible, reliable, fast, easy to navigate app, it has been around a long time and it costs much less cost than Roam or Notion. Try it and ask yourself if you would really need, use, and benefit from cool sounding and cool looking bloatware features.
Confluence works well with Asana: https://asana.com/apps/confluence
Hey @will, I've never used Confluence, but it looks a lot like Notion. Do you use it for notes?
I do. Might be overkill for only notetaking as it does much more.
Not sure this would exactly fit what you need, but Agenda Notes is an iOS and Mac notes app that sounds somewhat like what you're looking for. Its notes are tied to dates, so you can essentially add notes for your future self attached to deadlines, or see your notes for the day along with your appointments and tasks together.
Hey @maguay Agenda is probably my favorite notes app. I used it more than any other app while I was freelancing, and it would have a central role in my workflow now, but for two things: all my apps are in-browser so I'd like my notes to be there too (thank god for Chrome's grouping feature), and my team consists of Asana power users so without an integration, it's tough to continue using. @gdal821 suggested Fellow.app, which looks like a more user-friendly version of Hugo with a strong Asana and Slack integration, so I'll be testing that out.
I’m a bit late to the thread. But feel free to give Supernotes a go. We’ve recently had someone switch from Notion with a similar workflow to yours - https://supernotes.app/blog/posts/switch-notion-markdown-notecards/
Would love to hear what you think! @jrtancula
Craft is just starting to pull in calendar (and tying notes to meetings). https://www.craft.do/
And NotePlan may be worth a look? https://noteplan.co/
Wow, never heard of Craft, but looks really interesting. Noteplan looks a lot like Agenda, which I love, but I need an Asana + Calendar integration. Can't seem to find it on Craft's website, but do you know if they have an Asana integration?

Difficult to get a feel for Fellow without signing up, so I made an account. Their Asana and Slack integrations look perfect! Thanks so much for the suggestion
