Question

Is your team using Slack Connect to work with other teams in your Slack account?

If so, how have you found it so far? Do you prefer Slack Connect to email and/or directly joining another team's Slack?

Slack is our primary communication channel with our key partners and vendors. It's much more immediate and allows better threading of multiple topics. Where a Slack thread results in work for our team, we're able to link back to that thread from ClickUp and keep everyone on the same page much more easily than when using email.

We are on the free plan so we have set up a new Vendor workspace and invite all our collaborators there.

We use Slack connect quite a bit to work with partners, some customers, freelancers, candidates etc. It is a really good feature. As time progresses, I'm sure the usage will go up. I don't think it is fully understood just yet. It is definitely an upgrade from emails, but of course noisier.

We use Slack all the time at Envato/TutsPlus. It is a great way for everyone on the team to keep in touch. Our team, Tutsplus editorial staff, use Slack for notes, meetings, etc. We use Trello for the job board, but everything else is in Slack. It works great for us.

Are you using Slack Connect to work with any external teams?

I don't directly, but I believe the dev department is using it with an external team for outsourced dev work. The out sourced dev are always commenting on a single channel in our Slack.

Yes, it's immensely helpful to make freelancers and agencies feel like an extension of our team. We love it. Keeps everything work-related all in one place without joining multiple orgs, plus you can tap FT colleagues into conversations as needed very easily just by adding them to a shared channel.

I've used Airtable extensively to build simple internal apps as minimal viable products, but would love to build something bigger without coding. What are your favorite tools to build MVPs?
