Substack is making a new app to read newsletters: Substack Inbox

Substack may not be just an email newsletter app for long. It's now beta testing Substack Inbox, a new app to read your Substack subscriptions together. Presumably it would only be for Substack emails, though there's a new trend of email apps focused on the reading experience, from Hey's The Feed to tools like Mailbrew and Pigeon Inbox. Or maybe, as @annehelen put it on Twitter, "Substack is piloting its own form of Google Reader," though hopefully one with a longer lifespan.
