Vendr + Capiche

Hey everyone! I'm Ryan, founder of Vendr. The team at Vendr is super excited about the Capiche acquisition. I've been a huge fan of Capiche from day 1 and am excited to further the mission of fair pricing and transparency in SaaS.

As a power user of SaaS and a member of the Capiche community, I'd love to get your thoughts. How do you use Capiche today? How do you want to use it tomorrow? What's on your wishlist?

In Capiche style, feel free to post here and if you ever want to share feedback 1:1 -- you can reach me at ryan@vendr.com. Capiche email coming soon. :)

Let's build this community together!

Super excited about Capiche and where it can go. Things that I'm interested in seeing more of as someone running a Product Org:
* What are the types of tools that people find valuable at different stages of a company?
* When is it the right time to have SaaS decentralization vs SaaS centralization?
* How do you better orchestrate all the different tools in the Product Management lifecycle? (Feedback, Discovery, Design, Planning, Roadmap, Strategy, Execution, Results, Learnings)
* From spreadsheet to SaaS, what makes someone take that leap of faith to make a change?

Interested to see if we can have 'Capiche Awards' - Sort of a breakout list but backed by responses from the capiche community and divided into categories. Thoughts?

Ohh that's a really cool idea. Are you thinking awards for best software in categories?

Ideally yes- we've got so many 'what is the best product for X' questions X= category.

Yeah, absolutely—comparison pages would be great to get built out.

Also, if we're feeling really nice, that becomes this massive competitor analysis by product (think Gartner but open source)

Love this idea. @capicheno what are your thoughts on qualitative feedback as well? ie: Vote on the best of XYZ category and then display the user-generated qualitative feedback (pros/cons)?

I like this.

Do you think we should segment it by type of company /user (the tech stack at a SMB vs. SME vs. Enterprise will be different), and the corresponding feedback.

Since you brought up qualitative feedback, do you think there's an appetite for this 'qualitative feedback' to be a discovery/product-fit service of sorts? (Sort of Product hunt but with a niche)

Here's how I'm visualizing this:
1) We have this whole competitor analysis/awards list (established players/ companies capiche community loves)
2) Separtely, new solutions can be posted to the group from budding B2B SaaS founders to get qualitative feedback. [This could be a powerful way to get real value-add feedback from direct users of the product/buyer personas]. Could offer as a separate freemium service/offering

I have yet to see qualitative feedback done very well in a comparative way (i.e. being able to compare one product vs. another on qualitative aspects). But if the qualitative content is separate and there is not an attempt to "quantify" it or put it in some ranking or comparison system, I think the two can complement each other well.

What about some sort of radar for companies that are sending out aggressive pricing at renewal?

You mean like one of those star types? Could be a category for sure. Would this go into a category such as Customer Experience (not just the product, but more). Can alternatively have renewals as one of the criteria

How do you find new software to use?

The market is bursting with new software, a lot of new products are launching every day. A few months ago I posted on Capiche about my SaaS idea. Your feedback is priceless and helped us to change...
