Question

What bank/credit card did you choose for your startup?

Lots of choices these days targeting start ups such as Azlo, Mercury, SVB, Brex, and Ramp. Hard to tell which can scale with your company (Other than SVB of course) and whether some are style over substance.

Pros and cons? Regrets?

I used Qonto but I think it's only for EU residents...

Good to see more non-US options too! Almost no options for simple startup credit cards in Asia, though there's talk of a few coming soon.

Chase was my regret. Very little transparency. However there was the benefit of accumulating points that I used to fund few business trips.

Deeply interested in Brex as I continue to grow my business.

I used Azlo. It was super easy to set up and it was straightforward, most importantly, no fees.

In terms of a credit card for my LLC, I used Chase. It was a huge pain to set up, requiring multiple calls, and an in-person visit to speed things up.

Nice! Did you consider or use any other banks for your company previously?

We have started using Airbase at a number of our clients. Similar to TeamPay and Ramp it allows you to customize how a card can be used and allows non-card holders to submit a request for a purchase and will then issue a virtual credit card number for the requester to make the purchase.

Benefits:
- You can approve spend before it happens.
- The purchase order process allows for accurate coding by accounting.
- Fewer employee expense reports, which has a ton of benefits.

We're using Brex—seems to work pretty well for our team so far.

Using Novo, just with debit card. Don’t need anything fancy. Integration with Xero works well.
