What custom apps have you built in Airtable?

Our team has used Airtable to essentially replace Trello for managing an editorial workflow, but would love to see any more full-featured apps others have built in Airtable.

VC pipeline

We have built our entire pipeline on airtable. With some help of IFTTT and Zapier, all pitches we receive from email, Angellist, Website and other channels elegantly get populated in Airtable. We also mark the sources of deals, reason for rejection/investment...etc and think we have a 360 view on everything we get and it is all done without any manual input from any of us.

That's very cool! Are you using email parsing to pull details out of the messages, or saving the entire pitch messages into Airtable? Have you built any notifications into your Airtable database, or how does your team stay informed of what's new in it?

This is great and we've started doing the same a couple of months ago. It's been a work in progress but I'm curious how you add new items to it?

Also did you build it off a template or from scratch?

I manage all my inbound Product Hunt requests using AirTable. I really want to build out more functionality into my AirTable, but I feel a little hamstrung by not feeling knowledgeable enough about how to hook up the kinds of integrations that would benefit me.

Another problem with AirTable is allowing outside users update/manage their own records if they need to make changes. Right now AirTable serves as a kind of dropbox for Product Hunt requests — it's a one-way channel. Allowing the submitter to update a single record (as Google Forms does) would be SO useful.

Also, the lack of form validation is a bummer... but I'm guessing they don't want to compete with folks like Typeform...

Chris, to allow outsiders to manage their own record take a look at Stacker ( It's basically a WYSIWYG front end for AirTable that lets you publish specific views of data and allows people to log in and manipulate their own data, such as a user record.

The UI is a bit of an evolving mess right now but the team behind it is constantly improving the product and is very, very open to feedback. I

If you try it out tell them Peter at Gaingels sent you. ;-)

Whats the best blogging platform that also provides comments

I'm looking for a blogging platform for my product. However I also want it to be a light weight support page. For this I want to make it easy for people to comment on articles and even have thread...
