Question

What's The Best LaaS (Legal as a Service) Offering?

Corporate legal is extremely expensive (> $800/hr.) and, unfortunately, necessary. Yet, I'm extremely hesitant to engage with firms not named WSGR, Gunderson, Cooley, etc. Is Atrium as good and practical as it's made out to be? Do they simply hook and (then) upsell you? UpCounsel, Legal Zoom, etc. have been around for some time, but I don't know anyone that's used these companies to actually found, incorporate, and structure their businesses. Thoughts...? Many thanks in advance.

Atrium is good, transparent pricing and want to help

I'm pretty happy with Atrium's services. We are on the GC Core subscription which is $1500 per month. Pre-paying for a year will be $3k off. In general, they have been responsive and provide timely input. We also used their counsel product. There is scope for improvement there (I believe they were short staffed). I would recommend them for any general counsel work. I don't think you can compare Atrium with Legal zoom.

I'm happy with Atrium as well. I do think they seem more expensive than traditional law firms on many things, but it's really nice how convenient it is to work with them.

I used them for incorporation, but do they also provide ongoing legal support?

They don't do it directly. But they have a list of lawyers who we can choose to work with.

Why do people pay for Zoom when there are free alternatives?

Google Meet offers so many of the same features that Zoom does for free, so I am not exactly clear as to why so many companies pay for a Zoom account. Another free resource is freeconferencecall.co...
