Anybody know of an awesome product that lets Customer Marketers manage the process of getting quotes from customers approved for testimonial use on marketing websites?
I'm thinking something that automates the process of:
- Emailing the customer, "Here's what I heard...can you click to approve this?"
- Allowing other internal departments (brand, legal) to mark quotes as approved for use
- Sorting and organizing quotes by customer segment, vertical, use case, usage types
- Letting Customer Marketers see how many quotes are "waiting on approval" and automatically send follow-ups
Ideally, something as simple and clean as Calendly but integrated with SFDC. Bonus points if it's got a dashboard people can view to see latest approved quotes and self-serve.
Ideas? Who's doing this today?
I've used TechValidate - which is a survey tool that can be used to collect customer sentiment and testimonials. It has releases built into the survey processes so that customers sign off on quotes to be attributed to them in your marketing language and materials.
Have enjoyed using it as well. The pricing at the time (this was 2-3 years ago) was much higher than we could justify / prove ROI for, so we cancelled it. Still, pretty nifty.
Wow, never knew SurveyMonkey offered this. Very cool!
Thank you so much for sharing this! Will definitely check this out!
Did a paid trial of TechValidate 2-3 years ago. Loved the tool/ease of use and simplicity in organizing customer testimonials, integrating with salesforce, etc. The pricing at the time was very high so couldn't justify it from an ROI standpoint and didn't move forward. However, we collected enough testimonials during the trial to last 1+ years.
Did you end up using a different workaround, or you just pulled the testimonials from the trial and stuck with those?
We ended up just using the testimonials from the trial. These had a long shelf life and we had so many come back that we didn't feel like it was worth paying to have an ongoing campaign with them. We were also getting things back from G2, Capterra, etc., mining app store reviews and reaching out, etc. So content quantity wasn't an issue.
I would love a tool for this. I've used a custom in-house tool for this before, basically based around a form, Airtable, and Zapier. People could fill out the form to send in a quote or the support team could fill out the form themselves, and the Zap would then send the quote to Airtable where the marketing team could mark when it got fully approved and track which quotes were used where. But does seem like there should be a custom tool built for this, along the lines of NPS survey tools and such!
I would want something like this! 💪
Hi, Realise this is an old thread, but we've just launched a beta to do something similar to what want around Customer Success Stories (and plan to add testimonials too). Customer collection through a chatbot which automatically creates the story to be edited, sent to the customer to approve and then published on a widget. All feedback welcome! wizu-customer-success-stories.com

TechValidate looks awesome—and a super clever extension of the SurveyMonkey software. Thanks for sharing!
