I haven’t bothered trying to get it to work with Freshbooks — I use Freshbooks rarely enough that it’s not a pain point, and I just add all my time for that client in the weekly time sheet. But your…

I use Toggl for my work, and Freshbooks with a client. I don't like Freshbooks' much; I prefer having a native app for this on my phone and Mac (in particular).

I have used Harvest as well, which is…

Honestly, I wonder if they did have their account flagged, and that's why this happened. Who knows.

There’s been some drama about Apple threatening to take the iOS app off their store, but assuming it’s still there when they get custom domains, I’m in. Super stoked about it.

I am also very curious about how it works from an iPad.

I also tried Atom and felt the same way. It's crazy that both Atom and VS Code are built on electron, but only one of them really feels like an electron app.

Nova is delightful, as are all Panic products. Its UI blows away the competition. They've clearly been taking notes from VS Code.

It's also still a beta though, so a lot of stuff is buggy. It's…

I was all about Coda until a slow update pace made the app literally slow. Now I’m bouncing between Sublime and VS Code (and spending many hours tweaking my own theme in VS Code, while anxiously…

Hey folks! I'm looking for a great way to get a quick glance at upcoming projects for my design studio. I know a lot of these exist (Harvest, Cushion, etc), but I'd love it if it didn't look like a…

I honestly have no idea; I haven't tried it. It's free though, so give it a whirl and see what happens :)

It is fast, and the way it handles photos (simple pinch to zoom rather than a tap to open a gallery-style view) and blog posts without titles feels more natural to me, so no complaints so far.

I use Reeder on the Mac and NetNewsWire (or Reeder) on my phone. Everything is synced via Feedly, but Feedbin looks pretty great too.

It's not even close. Decades ago, Adobe was pioneering software for the Mac. Now, their apps are so full of cruft and so slow that I waste hours considering other alternatives. The thing is, there's…

2019 feels like the year when Figma not only got good, it dominated the competition. It is smooth as butter on any machine, and both clients and colleagues love using it. It’s simply a sensational…

Spark is a Mac / iOS joint that blows away the competition. It's fast, feature-rich, and it's not creepy. It handles aliases, it works with every email provider I've thrown at it, and the customer…

Are you a developer?

If you're not a developer, the answer should be Wordpress. It's open source, and the community is great, so if you need to make a quick and dirty change, you'll find a solution…

So. Many. Managed. WordPress. Services.

Fathom is good, but simple. Most people don't have simple needs, but for those that do, it's a nice solution.

The review is also under-rated, in my opinion. Keeps you from letting things slip through the tracks.

I’ve used everything from Things, Asana, Basecamp, Todoist, and so much more for this. They don’t do it for me. OmniFocus understands that projects have due dates. It understands that some tasks can’t…
