I think it's more about the philosophy with which you approach these apps that matters more than what setup you could put in place using it.

Slack, and similar team chat tools, were made to get rid…

Nothing more specific than, just as @ambrstr said, simply adding a date to any todo item. Since I have Roam constantly opened, any task linked to a day automatically shows up in that daily note.
It’s…

It took me a while, but I ended up using Roam Research. And I ended up loving it!

I used tu use Notion, which was more than decent at managing To Do lists.
But since I spend already a bunch of time…

If you’re on the hunt for useful workflows, here’s a complete breakdown of how I use Alfred.

That's the purpose of workflows. From my experience, update breaks occur but it's not that often.
For instance, the Search in Notion workflow is awesome.

Alfred.
I can't even imagine using my Mac without it.
It also made me a bit spoiled. Anything I can't do in a few keystrokes frustrates me.

+1 for Cleanshot, but it's paid.

For a great free alternative, check out CloudApp

For anyone looking for a great, minimalist app to work on plain text/markdown files, i.e. without any subscription, just folder and files on your hard disk, Typora is fantastic.
The way they render…

Hotjar is pretty cool.
User feedback is not their main feature but it works well.

Having sent both types of emails, I'd say it depends more about both the content, but also users' expectations.
I don't have much experience in e-commerce but I believe people are more used to…

That’s the point , it didn’t take 1 year. They’ve been at it for at least 3 years, only the visible effects happened within the last year.

Two words: Roam cult.
I believe the key to Roam's success is they didn't try to mass market right from the start, shouting to and shooting for everyone. They still aren't.
Instead, they focused on…

Maybe Mailshake would help.
It's been built specifically for outreach business emails but their follow-up feature is pretty powerful.

You might want to give a try to Metabase.
It has direct integration with Redshift.

You need to be technical to install it, but once it’s installed, it’s a blast for both technical and non technical…

Toby works great for me.
Well, actually I’m using Toby lite, so I realize it doesn’t count... Otherwise I spend so little time on the new tab page that I don’t have a use for an extension to beef it…

I used to use Cloudapp and liked it. Then I tried Cleanshot and switched to it. Never looked back.
It fits perfectly my workflow as I tend to almost always drag and drop my screenshots / gifs (in…

So after spending ~5 years reading, watching, trying, talking, writing about productivity, I came to the conclusion that productivity isn't a goal, it's a byproduct. And the more you think about it…

I pay for a bunch of services, but I do it gladly because they make my life easier.

I pay for:

  • 1Password family subscription plan, no-brainer.
  • Alfred Powerpack, also no-brainer.
  • Keyboard Maestro…

I recently subscribed to the light version for a whole year.
So far, I’m a bit divided about Readwise. It’s cool to have your highlights show it to you every day as a way to remember those passages…

It definitely is mac only.
Even if I wanted, I couldn't get back on Windows (been a Windows user for about 15+ years, and Mac since 5 years "only".

It's definitely planned.
They've stated it today on Twitter, and it's even the topic of one of the first emails they send you during onboarding.

Yup, I got my invite!

I've been using 1Password for years, syncing my vault in dropbox, then Google Drive.

Then last year, I decided to switch to the subscription plan.
Best move ever.
No more hassle or syncing problems…
