Several months back when the Capiche community interviewed Superhuman founder @rahulvohra, he’d mentioned that deeper calendar integration was coming to their email app soon. And now it’s here.
Superhuman has long had a built-in way to view your calendar in the sidebar. Mention a date when writing an email, or hover over a date someone else mentioned in an email, and Superhuman will show your calendar in the sidebar to see if you’re free.
Now, you can press B
anywhere in Superhuman to use a similar tool to add an event. Essentially it’s a simplified version of Google Calendar’s quick add pane where you can type in a date and time and invite others to join your event. Superhuman will suggest the person you’re emailing, if you have an email open while adding an event.
Uniquely, Superhuman doesn’t show most of the other calendar fields, including event details and location. If you want to add them, open Superhuman’s command palette with CMD+K to add extra detail to your event.
It’s not as simple as Fantastical—where you can just type a sentence describing your event to create it—but it’s a unique take on adding events to Google Calendar (as that’s the only email service Superhuman supports at the moment) from your email inbox.
Love the functionality, now just need them to add a Zoom integration
That would be a great fit for the Command Palette, where you could perhaps press CMD+K then select an option to add a Zoom link to the event.
Which brings up an interesting idea: Wonder if Superhuman will ever add add-ons? If they did, I'd imagine they'd live in the Command Palette, similar to Sublime Text. Just started a new discussion about Superhuman add-ons to see which other features people would like to see added.
Yep, I raised a feature request with Superhuman so will see what happens.
I had a potential workaround which was to grab my person meeting link and add that as a snippet but snippets don't seem to work inside the meeting functionality.
So my final work around was to add a snippet to Alfred but it's definitely not the frictionless experience we love from the email side.
We'll do it! 🙏
Amazing, thanks and great to see you are active in the community 👋
same for google meet too :-) would be awesome :-)
Superhuman is an excellent email experience and although I think their calendar feature now makes calendar events look prettier it's not a calendar.
Superhuman x Undock makes for an incredible "superhuman" experience because Undock enhances Superhuman and others with our full feature calendar; the super calendar. The first calendar that schedules, hosts and documents your meetings. And your scheduling now happens right inside Superhuman email when you hit the "/" key after sign up and Chrome extension install.
If you love the power of Superhuman, you're going to love the added powerhouse Undock gives you - for free! And we integrate with Zoom or Google Meet if you don't want to use our seamless Undock Conferencing experience which includes documentation right in the meeting experience.
Try it: Undock.com
We'd love your feedback. We launched this integration on March 17, 2021 at Undock II. Undock is still in public beta and we're just getting started.
@lizelle I'm looking for a calendar alternative since my beloved Woven is being shut down shortly. I just started using Superhuman. I looked at Undock after seeing your comment, but I don't really understand how Undock's current functionality is different than what Superhuman does itself right now (I'm new to Superhuman though, admittedly). A lot of the integrations I'd be interested in for Undock are listed as "coming in 2021" and I can't tell if any are already available at this point in 2021 or not. Is there any way to get in touch with you to figure this out? My email is sara@shipsimply.co if you see this.

You should try Undock.com because it now seamlessly integrated into Superhuman and we're actually building a true calendar that schedules, hosts, and documents your meetings.
