What's something you believe to be true about SaaS that very few other people believe?

It's absurdly easy for me to hold multiple view points at the same time. So on one hand I believe that SaaS is crowded and on the other hand I believe there is more opportunity in SaaS than ever.

I guess the most controversial thing I can say is that both things are true. What's really happening is that SaaS is getting very mature now. And the SaaS explosion is not going to stop plus we'll just start seeing a lot of permutations as SaaS becomes more commoditized. Here is some relevant content:

As Marc Andreessen put it, "Software is eating the world" and this is more true than ever.

On "All-in-one" SaaS, basically you think it's time for bundling to start eating away at all of the standalone SaaS today, right?

What do you think of Office 365 (now Microsoft 365)'s strategy there and its chances of taking over from smaller, independent SaaS? And do you have any predictions on who else will build a SaaS bundle?

I think most SaaS businesses will expand over time by building more features into their core offering, acquiring companies or even building a "family of brands". This is exactly what's been happening in the consumer world.

That makes sense, something it felt like Dropbox was trying to do but then stopped, and that products like Todoist are doing by building companion products (and Atlassian, from the acquisition side). 37signals did that, then scaled down to only one product, and now are building another new tool again with their upcoming Hey email app.

Will be interesting to watch!
